Riverside Apartment Renovation
Located in The Clarendon—a historic luxury apartment building constructed in 1906 in what is now the Riverside West End Historic District of NYC—this project involved the complete transformation of a long-neglected sponsor unit. Originally a one-bedroom with a Depression-era kitchen, the apartment had remained untouched for over 50 years and was layered with decades of paint.
Despite its outdated condition, the space boasted exceptional natural light and stunning Hudson River views. Our approach centered on a full gut renovation and strategic reconfiguration, converting the unit into a two-bedroom residence with two marble-clad baths, a sleek, small, modernized kitchen, and in-unit laundry. To further elevate the living experience and maximize the view, we integrated a central air conditioning system.
The result was a seamless blend of historic charm and contemporary comfort—culminating in a sale price more than double its original value.
