True Religion Showroom
Goal:
The exclusive distributor of True Religion jeans approached KATZ architecture to fit out their New York City showroom. Inspired by the luxurious materials and craftsmanship of the product line, KATZ decided that the jeans would provide the decoration within an extremely minimalist design.
Process:
Giving the industrial space a complete face-lift required replacing windows, pouring a new epoxy coated concrete floor, and painting the walls, beams and columns. Product display was enhanced with track lighting throughout and suspension shelving that hovers over the floor. To section off an office, KATZ inserted custom translucent walls.
Result:
By leaving the industrial shell intact, the design communicates a focus on craftsmanship and enhances the ornament of the custom-made jeans.
Moral:
God is in the details.
